In 2020, I began my PhD journey in Education, focusing on Applied Linguistics, at Temple University Japan. Progressing beyond rigorous coursework and comprehensive exams, I am now crafting my dissertation which extends multiliteracies to a transmodally-oriented approach and explores teachers' learning experiences.
As a researcher, I am more inclined to use qualitative methods as I believe the different components of education, namely the teachers, learners, and environment are inseparable and are affected by an array of sociocultural factors beyond the classroom. I also believe that qualitative methods offer a human touch in data collection and analysis.
